Bath time

We have a very special day coming up tomorrow, so this evening I spent well over two hours having bath time with Basse and Vallu. Neither of the boys were very happy, but gosh it was nice to have the boys clean for once.

Bath time is a family activity

Day 19 - A discipline you would like to do that you've never done before

Awesome fence
I would love to try out eventing! I've done a little bit of jumping, but since I'm a very happy hacker, the best thing I would like to try out that I've never done before would be a bit of cross country! The jumps are fantastic and you seem to go super fast through the country side, what could be better? Yeah it's a lot more dangerous than dressage, but this is definitely on my bucket list, at least once in my lifetime!

Nelli & Vallu fun

What better way to exercise Nelli and Vallu on a Sunday evening than to have some fun! I was riding Vallu, and Nelli was following us freely. I can't remember the last time that I laughed so much whilst riding.

Day 17 - Your equestrian idol

This is a very easy challenge, but it will be another soppy and sentimental post about how much I adore my brother and how much he inspires me.

The many faces of Val De Mar

Vallu had a day off yesterday, and this was the result. He doesn't like the fact that I work with the other horses first, and then come to him last for his evening walk!

The "I'm a clown face
The "what ya lookin" at face
The "STOP TAKING PHOTOS OF ME... grrrr" face

At least one normal looking photo ;)

Vallu has been really good this week, we've been taking it a bit easier, he has been out in the woods twice and both times we have been able to trot and canter like normal people!! I'm so proud that we have progressed this far, and I really think that hacking out is so good for all horses, but especially for a horse like Vallu who finds it difficult to relax.
