FFM Christmas Party goodies

Having missed this last year due to being at home that weekend, I've been looking forward to this event for ages. It was like dying and waking up in heaven because there were so many amazing things I wanted (or hell cos I don't have money to buy anything) I'm not even joking when I say that my eyes have never ever seen so much stuff all at the same time that I wanted.

Fur Feather Meds is at the top of my go to equestrian businesses. Lili is so friendly and helpful, and always looks to find the best products to sell. It's all stunning and such good quality. If anyone needs to buy a horsey friend/relative a Christmas present, here are photos of some of the products she has for sale (and more on the website)

Happy Independence Day Finland

Vallu and I celebrated Finnish Independence Day with a lovely bouncy turnout followed by another bouncy lounge. Tomorrow's ride will certainly be interesting...

And off he goes...

That tail ♥︎

Bouncy pony

You gotta love it when December comes around, everything becomes slightly colder, crisper and sunnier. There's nothing better in my mind. The not so lovely part is getting a bouncy pony who is also appreciating the slight sudden drop in temperature by skipping along the roads when hacking out... (Totally in control, not)
Also found out that we are VERY good at standing utterly still for ten minutes and taking photos of other horses jumping :) After our exhilarating hack out, we then went to the outdoor arena. Gingerninja is Vallu's next door neighbour and apparently his best mate. The other day L (Ginger's owner) had taken him out of his stable and Vallu had cantered around in his stable and was very grumpy cos she was taking his bestie away. And when hacking out Vallu can cope with anything if Gingerninja is next to us.
We're experts at standing still and taking photos
First jump after Gingerninja's holiday
Wednesday was another stunning sunny but cold day. Which also meant that I had another fresh ride on Vallu... :D Luckily we got to go in the indoor arena after the BSJ competition, and we got to do some trotting poles! So exciting, but far more in control than on our hack. Vallu seemed to be in a great mood, will definitely do this again. Having used the poles for warm up, I then decided to push my luck and see what happens when I asked for more difficult work. Piaffe, flying changes and half canter pirouettes on a diagonal followed by a flying change and they were all good. So exciting to have my happy pony back ♥︎

BLURRY COS WE'RE GOING SO FAST
On Wednesday evening there was the Buckaroo Christmas Evening... Might have bought myself a Kingsland hoodie in the sale. A Christmas present from me to me? :D #oops #sorrynotsorry #hopemummyisntgonnaseethis

December Goals/November Analysis

WHY DOES TIME FLY BY SO FAST?!?!

November:
Vallu
Be good during AF lesson - he was a good boy even though he wasn't feeling too good, you can read about it here
Get new saddle - still not here, coming next week!!! :)
Continue being relaxed whilst hacking out every week - Been super good, and also SOLO HACKS woop woop
Continue the work in progress of riding in the outdoor arenas - slowly but surely getting there, a lot less spooking, this is possibly helped by the fact the he is being lunged weekly in the outdoor arena and he has to deal with everything without me being all tense

Real princesses don't kiss toads

As you can see, finally a new banner and some long overdue changes to the blog :) I really want to get a professional on the job and get them to back the blog all fancy, but right now I'm happy with this. Thought wouldn't it be lovely to be able to use Photoshop properly (I made my banner with PicMonkey after my laptop lost the banner I'd spent hours making with GIMP...) and to be able to do HTML properly. Oh well, I like this for now :)
My lovely friend Hannah came and took some photos of us on Saturday! I'm so blessed to have such nice people around me, who even though are non-horsey, they are willing to come up to the stables and take photos and spend hours with me and Vallu.

Real princesses don't kiss toads

These three photos were taken one after another and made me burst out laughing when I saw them. You can really see Vallu going "sugar?" to "sugar?????" to "SUGAR!" He has such a lovely expressive face.
